Every film here earns its seat by teaching a nameable piece of craft: composition, light, colour, the cut, the score. They run in curriculum order, so the lessons build. Tear your ticket when you have seen one and its secret study side unlocks. Nothing to sign up for: your ticket book lives in this browser.
- Watch for pleasure. No notes, no homework.
- Rewatch with one question from the study card.
- Break down one scene: sound off, then frame by frame at the key cuts.
- Pair it with its double bill.
- Write three lines: the lesson, the scene that proves it, and whether your popcorn changed.

The Programme
Numbered in curriculum order. Tap any film for its study card.
Double Bills
Ready-made movie nights. Watch them in order and save the intermission note for the gap between films. Each poster is the film's colour script: five colours from its look, no artwork.
🎞️ Programme your own
Pick two or three films, give the night a name, and send the link. Nothing to sign up for: the whole bill lives in the link.
The Curriculum
Four modules. The bar is your progress: lessons where you have torn at least one ticket. Tap a lesson to see its films.
Your Ticket Book
Every ticket you tear lands here. Studied films get the red stamp.
Your Academy transcript
A lesson is attended when you tear a ticket on one of its films, and passed when you study one. Pass every lesson in a module to graduate and print your diploma.
The projection booth is for Gibs: it syncs his ticket book to the sheet and opens the desk for adding films. Visitors don't need it; your ticket book already saves in this browser.
🎞️ Projectionist's desk
Adds a row to the YG-Public sheet, checked first. Everyone sees it within about two minutes.
Tip: a future date schedules it. Films and bills stay hidden until that day; a week shows from its Monday.
Saved in this browser only. Save your ticket book to keep a copy or move it to another device.

Academy stars. Two ratings per film, out of five. Look is how much a great presentation (a 4K disc, a big screen, a good sound mix) adds. Story is the film itself: writing and performances. Your popcorn ratings sit beside them on every study card.
Format verdicts. Worth the 4K the disc materially improves studying it. Blu-ray is fine a good disc; 4K adds little. Just stream it the look gains nothing from a premium copy.
Colour scripts. Every film carries five colours taken from its look: the stripe on each row, the bill posters, the edge of your stubs and the band on its study card. Open any study card to see them named. The red tags mark the Gibstober nights; gold is the Academy's own.
Movie nights. Watch on your own copy and talk about it together in the Discord. Films are never streamed on the channel.
